WIGAN don’t stand much of a chance when they come face-to-face with a team who have a great chance of finishing in the top four in the EPL. With all the unexpected results the last few weeks, no game is going to be a walk in the park anymore. This, however, will be the closest to being the easiest for this week. An easy win for the Magpies.
CHELSEA 1 QPR 1
WHAT a week it has been for Chelsea. Back-to-back tough matches and they are still standing tall. They messi-fied Barca! A great boost for English football. Now, it’s back to the grind in the EPL and it’s going to be tough against QPR. As a Malaysian, I am rooting for the underdogs to get at least a draw (hopefully a win). Come on QPR, fly our flag!
MAN CITY 2 MAN UTD 1
THIS can easily be termed as the EPL final. What a crash by MU last week. Makes one wonder if it was all done to capture a bigger television audience for Tuesday’s game. United’s 4-4 draw with Everton last week has thrown the title race wide open and handed City renewed hope. United had better be prepared to hand the trophy over to City. A tough City win.
Do kids these days cycle 8km to play a friendly with another school? And all organised by 12 year olds (Standard 6). We had no mobile phones or monorails/good bus service to get us around. That’s how my friends and I grew up
– playing football at small parks, school fields, six-a-side tournaments (paying the fees by sharing the cost). We even had “curi-curi” trips to the Teluk Cempedak beach in Kuantan for a swim! Good life!
