AFTER recent victories over famous clubs like Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal, the Latics had put some daylight between them and the drop zone. Unfortunately, last week’s loss to Fulham has seen them being dragged back into the relegation battle. Today, they are up against another one of the top teams – Newcastle. Do they have what it takes to stop the Magpies, who continued their charge towards Champions League qualification with a convincing Premier League victory over mid-table Stoke City last week? I think not.
CHELSEA 3 QPR 0
CHELSEA beat the mighty Barcelona to reach the Champions League final. QPR have a very slim chance. Enough said.
MAN CITY 1 MAN UTD 2
AS a Man Utd fan, of course I want the Red Devils to win at the Etihad Stadium. In the opening Premier League meeting between the two Manchester clubs in October, City claimed a famous 6-1 win against 10-man United. This is the payback time! If Roberto Mancini’s side beat United this weekend, they will go top on goal difference with two games remaining. Obviously, I don’t want this to happen.
I have to say that I was shocked to see us draw with Everton the other week. Credit must go to David Moyes and his men. Having lost their FA Cup semi-final to their great rivals the previous week, the Toffees could have been forgiven
for turning off for the rest of the campaign.
