PETALING JAYA:  Lightning, some say, never strikes twice at the same place.

Try telling that to Kelantan midfielder Mohd Norfarhan Mohd. He’s set to miss his second Cup final of the season.

Norfarhan and Lebanese team-mate Mohd Ghaddar Mahmoud will miss the Malaysia Cup final against Armed Forced at the Shah Alam on Saturday after picking up their second yellow card in the 2-0 semi-final, second leg win over Selangor last Friday.

Last May, Farhan missed the action in the 1-0 win over Sime Darby in the FA Cup final when coach Bojan Hodak opted to pair up Norshahrul Idlan Talaha with Ghaddar in attack.

A frustrated Norfarhan, who has five goals in the Malaysia Cup, admitted to being disappointed with the suspension.

Suspended: Kelantan’s Norfarhan (in front) and Mohd Ghaddar are out of the Malaysia Cup this Saturday.

“I’m very frustrated with my situation … this is the second time I’ll miss a final this season,” said Farhan, 27. I believe I have played well and given 100% to the team … and I still end up missing the final. I don’t know why this happens to me.

“Although I will miss the final, I believe my team-mates will give their everything to win the treble this season.”

Kelantan have already captured the Super League and FA Cup crowns. They are aiming to repeat the feat of Kedah who won the treble in 2007 and 2008.
