By ERIC SAMUEL - PETALING JAYA: Former Spain international Daniel Guiza saved moneybags Johor Darul Takzim the blushes with a late equaliser in their 1-1 draw with Kelantan in a Super League match at the Sultan Mohd IV Stadium in Kota Baru last night.

Treble winners Kelantan gave their fans plenty to cheer about through a screamer by Mohd Norfarhan Mohamed in the 38th minute. But substitute Guiza silenced the vociferous supporters by curling home a free-kick in the 64th minute.

With the draw, the Red Warriors are still unbeaten at home after 29 matches. Last season, Kelantan were unbeaten in 27 matches en route to winning the Super League, Malaysia Cup and FA Cup.

There were chances for Kelantan to win all the three points, but Indra Putra Mahayuddin headed wide in front of a yawning goalmouth in the 42nd minute.

At the Darul Makmur Stadium in Kuantan, Pahang continued their fairy-tale run by beating Negri Sembilan 2-1 for their third straight win to lead the 12-team league by three points.

Mohd Fauzi Roslan opened the scoring for the Elephants in the 28th minute and Faizul Hussein added the second in the 60th.

Rahizi Rasib scored a late consolation goal for the Deer.

Selangor were also 2-1 victors, beating Terengganu at the Sultan Ismail Stadium in Kuala Terengganu.

The Red Giants scored two early goals through S. Kunalan (sixth) and Mohd Amri Yahyah (16th). Jean Effa Owona of Cameroon reduced the deficit for the homesters in the 17th minute.

The match, however, was marred by the unhappy home fans who threw stones on to the pitch late in the game. The referee stopped the match for five minutes before allowing the continuation of the game.

In Paroi, Armed Forces made shortwork of T-Team with a comfortable 3-0 win at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium.

New signing Mohd Shukor Adan opened the scoring in the 47th minute. Rezal Zambery Yahaya (60th) and Marlon Alex James (87th) contributed the other goals.

PKNS FC lifted themselves off the bottom of the table after picking up their first win with a 1-0 success over Lions XII at the Shah Alam Stadium. Mohamed Nazrin Bahri was the hero, scoring in the 78th minute.
