“We have been in this business a long time and I don’t think we will be intimidated by the fanatical Kelantan supporters in the final. We have beaten them in front of their home fans in Kota Baru this season.
I have featured for Kelantan before and I know what to expect from their passionate fans. Even though the Kelantan fans will outnumber ours, it doesn’t give either team any advantage, especially in a major Cup final.
We have been doing quite well ourselves, going on a 10-match winning run. Negri are just as hungry as Kelantan because we have not won the Malaysia Cup for the last 61 years. It is going to be an interesting final for both teams.”

“This is the grand finale for both teams and we are in real good shape. Expectations will be high now that we have qualified for the final after 39 years. We have been disappointed once when we lost to Selangor in the FA Cup final in April.
We know the agony of defeat and how the fans have felt let down after coming close to winning Kelantan’s first major silverware in Malaysian football since 1921. It will be historic if we win the Cup ... and we badly want to win it.
I hope the fans will be able to control their emotions and not be involved in any untoward incidents. We have worked hard and have come to the biggest stage of the competition. We appreciate their moral support and will not let them down.”
